I see people spending all this money on carbon Clothes. I've seen in field and stream that they believe in them.I bought a set and I do not think that they can work.

I do wear the ScentLoc suits. There are many opinions but I think scent control is an "all or nothing" thing. Therefore, EVERY time I hunt (a) shower in scentless soap, (b) was clothes in scentless soap, (c) spray clothes and boots with "scentless spray", (d) wear ScentLok headcover and full Scentlok suit. It is a lot of work but I shoot most of my deer at 15 yards so I think all of this helps to MINIMIZE human order. I don't think that a ScentLok suit alone would be adequate. I think (a), (b), (c) are the most important. Just my opinion.

i totally agree with channelguy, i don't think you can just throw on a scentlock suit and think your invisible, you have to take all the precautionary steps towards proper scent control, it can be a pain but i guess it all depends on how serious you are

im sure they must work at least in theary but its hard to get anything to do what its suposed to do in the real world theres always going to be different factors to deal with. do you need them no, people have hunted for food for centurys with out them will they give you a edge maybe its all hype and sales to get you to spend your money. ive never had any problems before killing deer and ive seen many people on hunting shows get busted and a lot of times you dont know if there on a fenced farm or not im sure it cant hurt but is it worth it. not to me you still have to wash with scent free soap deoderant the works sure there going to tell you how great they are they pay for there hunting trips with it.

Well I thought that I would ask the Question. I have my own theory. I'll begin By saying that I am a avid hunter Heavy Since I was 14 or 15 and I am now 33 I had to learn a lot on my own. Ive watched the new stuff come and go. Like I've watched baseball bats go from the $100 black magic easton bats to the $350 super cool kid bats. I believe that they work to a degree and I believe that it takes what channal says. That its More than just a suit. I was at the deer and turkey expo and the scent lock guys were there. I asked them If there suits works and they kind of cocky like said yes our scent loc suits work great and they went on and on. When they were done. I said to them that I had their suit but on opening morning after deer chilly or what ever we had the night before. I'm up in my stand and I rip A FART and I smell it and I mean like I was in my boxers. why is that? They laughed and blow the question off but it's a valid Question. I think if you took the measures that channel was talking about and you stuck your clothes in a bag with fresh dirt do you think it would mater suit or no suit? Is it worth the $100 to $350 for the suit that's the real question!!

The other claim to fame about ScentLok suits is that you can "regenerate" the active carbon in the suit by putting it in a household dryer. One scientist did a study and found it takes a very high temperature to "regenerate" the active carbon in the suit, and most household dryers don't get hot enough to do the job. Not sure if the new technology fixes this "problem".

Yea, I laugh at some of the stuff out there. It my help but it still take other things to really have a successful hunt. At the deer expo the scent loc guys face was just funny. There isn't an excuse for a question like that. A legitimate question tho.
I use earth scent by wild life research. I am a believer in most of what they put out.
