I think when it is hot like it has been the fish dont move as much, so you are better off trolling. I was at catman blues saturday night fished from 8:00PM till 8:00AM, Fished it hard till about 3:00 AM, I fell asleep and woke up at 6:30, I went to reel in my izzy head that I had out on a bobber, I cranked it 2-3 times giving it the old death twitch then BAM! got hit by a 22 pound shovel head. Got it in and went to bring in my 6 inch rock bass, cranked it in slow as to not kill my bait and about 12 feet from the bank BAM! another shovel about 16 pounds. They wouldnt hit it unless you pulled in right in front of there face. With all the cool weather this week and the evenings getting down into the 50's and 60's, the water temp should have dropped by atleast 10 degrees. Maybe that will get the blues triggered for the fall feeding frenzy.

Yeah once the weather starts to get more "stable" the fishing should pick back up. I had a real good week fishing last week. Didnt fish over the weekend though or any this week, so not sure how it is right now. Hoping to get out next week though.
