Other than frozen shad, does anyone know of any other baits that can be caught now and frozen for this winter? Also, what does everybody think the best way is to freeze the shad and whatever else?

Freeze what ever you get as soon as possible.

i freeze shad, skipjack, and trout. cut or whole, in a zip-lock bag, then dip the bag in a bucket of water as your closing it to all the air out so you won't have freezer burn come springtime

I freeze shad and thats about it, I can always catch bluegill so I always have access to them.

i always keep shad,trout,and creek shubs in the freezer.............
