im having problems finding skipjack around the cincy area can any one tell me a good place to catch them? thanks!

SOMEONE TOLD ME THEY WERE CATCHING THEM DOWN BY HOOTERS BUT THE MELDLAH DAM ISN'T A BAD SPOT EITHER....

im catching them now at 9 mile,off 52.an also across from the stadum by the licking river.but 9 mile has been better

Bigdomn, I throw my net there all the time and never get anything but small saugeye. Who are you catching them? I could use some help

thanks ! went to the licking today used a sabiki [ i think thats how its spelled] and caught nothing ! and then went to the public landing and nothing there . i did catch a lot of shad with the throw net . i guess i will keep trying. DOES any one know if there is a CERTAIN time of day i should try for the skipjack ? Thanks

Dont listen to them i have caught plenty in the past few weeks you have to get down there right before the sun comes up or going down and use sabiki rigs with small# hooks i have caught them around riverside boat ramp and scmidt field but i usually am on boat and go find em. you will see em jumping around if your there at the right time once the sun directly hits the water forget it all the ones i have got have been 6-8 inches thats why i said use small# sabiki rigs

the skip jacks are there by tanners and up a little i caught alot around 6 7 8 inches nothin like last year though
