St. Croix makes the best rods hand down. Pricey but the best. Only other rod that can compete is G. Loomis.
For more economical though, Daiwa makes great rods, as does Shakespeare Ugly Stick.

i love my daiwa emcast i know alot of people say bad things about them but i have never had a problem,but another rod i just order is the European predator rod from cabalas

emcast i would say 10 footers no problems at at all they light weight a durable

Ocean Masters are probably the best rod for the $ i think, got the 11' spinning

I bought 2 10 ft ugly stiks over the summer after trying to figure out what I wanted between them or emcast and alot of suggestions led me to them and I am very happy with them, then I found a good deal on 2 chrome rockets and an 10 ft emcast so I bought em and let me tell ya, I think I like the emcast a little better, I haven't caught a huge fish just 20lbers on any of them but I can out cast the ugly stiks with chrome rockets when I cast the emcast with a regular ole c3 on it, I love both of them though, I would rate them about the same as far as being good poles but the emcast will for sure cast farther

i got one 10' emcast don't really use it all that much but it is really light and cast pretty good
