i'd use them till something happened to them if anything does, the best rods for the $ i've seen are Bass Pros Ocean Masters

ive been usin my 10ft emcasts for almost a year now without any problems at all.

the okuma solaris is a really great rod.. the problem with the emcasts are that most catfisherman set the hook really hard and when they do that the graphite twists and the next time u load up the rod with all that force and pressure it snaps it. im not gonna lie i used to do the same thing till larry told me that... Larry out at castaway told me that..

Larry out at castaway told me that.. alot of people do set the hook way to hard... if use sharp hooks which i know most of you do a good amount of presure will hook the fish you dont have to try to rip its head off. i use to do the same thing.

yea thats y the emcasts break.. i remember jus last year i did that.. i use the gomakatsu octopus and i jus kinda reel down and pull up straight up and dont load that rod 2 much but it still sets the hook good enough..
