i like garcias and have a decent number of them but shimano is my favorite reel maker especially for spinning so i'm starting to lean toward shimano baitcasters , my favorite Garcia's i own are a pair of 7000 C4 lever drags, they're pretty nasty

Don't forget about the Abu record! I have 1 and it is smother than my rocket by far & I have ceramic bearing in the rocket! never did like ceramic bearings they really dont make anything better... Ceramic bearings are designed to run dry pretty much. If oil/grease is added it can act like a magnet for dirt. This will ruin that bearing in a heart beat. They are also loud compared to a stainless bearing. alot of people will disagree with that but ive seen it happen the only way to keep them running smooth is blowing them out with compressed air.

huh never knew that, but i dont think i would need those bearings anyway i do fine with my rockets they go out as far as i need them to,i mean how many lakes do we fish that we have to cast 500 feet or more, none the biggest lake i fish is cozy dale, and i have casted clear across the big lake.
