Is it possible to cast net Creek Chubs, I had my traps out all year and got a couple but not like I would like to have. Any help would be appreciated.

ya you can get them in your net but i dont know how many you will get,when i throw my net in the creeks i mainly get mullets,shiners and a ton of suckers,and i throw were i normaly catch chubs,so i would say if your not getting them in the traps i would just fish for them with wax worms thats how i get all mine

i cast net mine in the creeks. mainly in the riffles during the day.

I cast net mine in creeks. Works good on real sunny days in shallow water. You just move around real slow and you will see them schooled up, then aim and fire!!!

i cast net mine in the creeks. mainly in the riffles during the day. thats were i get mine in the swallow fast moving water but i mainly get mullets and jumbo suckers,but they work good for shovels |

i use a throw net to get chubs mullets ect out of the creeks.

i've used a cast net before and i always get the smaller chubs heads stuck in the holes of the netting and ends up killing them, if you're in a good chub hole you can catch them so fast sometimes you don't need a net

thats true.....i went to this creek in ky, and soon as you threw out, your bait did not have a chance to drop.the chubs were on it,and they were also in big schools,you can see them as you walk down the creek,it was a cool sight to see.

i now were all the good bait is here in springfield,shad,mullets,chubs,bass,gills,whatever else but ya i will bring the bait you just meet me and steve at paradise.
