when do blue gills and chubs start bitin, i've never fished in the winter or this early in the year

both gills and chubs are bitting great around here and shad is very thick in our resovoir,oh ya my buddy ron hit a 46 pound blue last night to,lol

cause we are fishing together were a team so when we catch a fish i say we hit a 46 last night
