I haven't been out to get any bait yet. Have you guys had any luck getting good shad? Where have you been getting them.

I have heard of people getting them at Rocky Fork Lake.

i know someone who will sell you some for cheap. they're frozen and vacuum sealed 2. I just filled up my freezer for 30 bucks.

Lake Grant in Mt. Orab is loaded with shad. I've been this year in 10 cast's 50 to 55 shad.

Is there a certain time of day to get shad. I have only got them once and they were right on the bank with a landing net i just scooped them out. I used to have a throw net and i never got one in it. only blue gill. Is it better on a boat? where is the best place on a lake to find them?
