Caught a few gills over the winter and froze them. Do you guys still consider them good cut bait or am I wasting my time. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Honestly, I've never tried a frozen bluegill. In my opinion, fresh bait is always better. I always try to get fresh shad and only use frozen if a absolutely have to. I'm sure you could catch fish on them, BUT if you have the time and place to get new gills, go get em.

i think gills are better swimming then dead and then when they do die cut the heads and throw them back out for round two

Personally I have never tried a frozen gill but wouldn't chuck it without trying or at least keeping on hand as a back up.(love cut bait) I regularly freeze extra shad and use them with pretty good success.

Same here, never tried frozen gills... I use them alive, and when they die ill either cut the head off, or ill just cut their belly open and toss em back out..

They seem 2 loose something when you freeze them. I have trouble using any frozen bait. I use fresh fish, thats cause those kats to really bite good. Went this mourning and caught a 25 trolling a fresh bluegill head.
