What are the main two rod/reel combos that you are using this year?
I am using 6500C4s on 10' Nitesticks.
I have 3 years on these rods and I am thinking about getting 2 emcasts.

How do you think the emcasts compare to the old sealines? the emcasts action is a little stiffer and they are a little heavier than the old sealines, but other than that they are pretty close. they are both great rods but if they still made the sealines and sealine x's i would choose them over the emcast.

I have one and i don't think it's the best but it's not junk... They have a fugi reel seat and custom X grips. Which are normally found on rods that cost more than 60 bucks. Not to mention there very light, even by graphite rod standards. If your saying there junk because you broke it, well it was your fault not the rods. If you set your drag right and take your thumb off the spool when you swing you don't have to worry about breaking any rod.

two 7000ics Pro Rockets on 11ft emcast. If you broke an emcast it was probly your fault. I've put mine though hell and haven't had a problem.

how do you come to that conclusion if you broke the rod it was most likely your fault.... ive used these rods and other daiwa surf rods for a little over 2 years now and i have yet to break one! they are graphite and you have to take alot more care of them than you would a fiberglass or graphite composite rod. emcasts are deff. not junk at all if you take care of them.
