Hello All, my name is Andre I'm a trustee/deacon for the church that owns glory lake.( by the way wrong name in directory . I want to first thank you all for your comments about glory lake, some good some bad but we appreciate all feedback. our focus is to allow this lake to be a place to where all are welcome. in one of the threads i read, someone felt like they were being hit over the head with church, well thats not our intentions. yes we are Christians and we cant change that! we just want you to feel welcome is all. . as far as the rules were not trying to make your visit an unpleasant one, we just want to respect what God has given us to share with you.going in to this we knew we were going to loose some customers due to the fact that theres no drinking/smoking, but again our focus is on providing a place were families, seniors and individuals can come and enjoy this beautiful piece of property. operational wise, we are stocking the lake weekly, selling live bait, and working on getting the word out about the lake. Wednesday august 27,2008 were going before colerain township commission about night fishing. also you can go to glorylake.com to post some comments, concerns or even inquire about rental opportunities. we want to thank everyone who has supported us in the past and in the future. if you want to contact me personally email me at pross14@cinci.rr.com thanks for listening!

If your only rules are no smoking and no drinking that is not so bad. I assume also no bad language - which is my pet peeve when kids are around. It is amazing the number of times I hear dad swearing when their kids are with them - what a shame. Yes I enjoy a "cold one" once in awhile at a lake but certainly don't need a "cold one" to enjoy the lake / fishing. Good luck with the lake.

yeah thanks! were going to loose those who like to smoke & drink, but i think we will make up for it in the long run. f.y.i. cursing is not a rule of ours but we would appreciate that customers don't. we are currently selling bait ..wax worms, night crawlers, red worms, and looking into more depending on the demand. Everyone please post your preference of bait. thanks!

i understand the no alcohol rule. very understandable, but the no smoking rule is a bit much. the lake is outdoors and a big lake at that. i live two minutes from the lake and would love to fish there but the no smoking rule has kept me going else where. sorry. or maybe there could be a smoking side and a non smoking side. lol, just a thought. a majority of people dont mind other people smoking especially at a fishing lake. if it bothers some one else then they are fishing to close anyways..... some of my thoughts

I appreciate your thoughts!and i wish i had an solution for that, its not like were discriminating against smokers or anything. I have relatives who smoke and when they come on the lake they respect it, may not like it !but respect it. we feel its more of a respecting the property kind of thing more than anything. so i hope you change your mind and stop up and see us sometime!

i understand respect. i really do. are you allowed to go to the parking lot to have a smoke or just not at all on the property. but anyways, if you stock trout through-out the whole winter.... you just found another customer...lol. i will put having a cigarette aside for that....lol.

I don't smoke and I would fish at a lake that doesn't allow smoking. Not that I am against it or anything. My best friend smokes. But its nice to not be around it sometimes, nothing worse than going home smelling like an ash tray.

Anybody know how to contact the folks at Lake Glory? I have tried calling the phone number on their website and sending email to the person in charge of fishing as stated on their website? No responses? Thx.
