well that's the plan, its been raining for two hours now. so they should be up to night. my wife will most likely win the tourney with a worm or crappie head.or catfish egg sack or spam tipped hook with a green-sunfish.and chris will be the net boy or will it be me? hard to say depends who is the closest. img4.imageshack.us/img4/5181/greensunfishmale.jpg

flashlight & a coffee can!!! gotta be quick though!!! they feel te heat of the light and shoot back into their holes!!!!
as far as keeping them,, well "buss bedding" is best. but, a good, even mixture of top soil, shredded newspaper, and grass clippings work just fine!! and remember to keep the soil " moist" not soaking wet!

I have looked for night crawlers the last 4 times it has rained and have not even seen any. WHen i was a kid i would find 100 in a half hourbut cant even find 1 now. What is the deal? I thought maybe it was too early in the year or something. Have any of you found any this year?

i have done very well actually. Worms shy away from lawns that have been fertilized in the past few years. also, when i know rain is coming, i sprinkle bread crums, or, corn meal or something like that on the ground and i dont go out for them till around midnight.

That could be it. I live in an apartment complex and they have landscapers so i guarantee they fertilize every year so i will have to try your idea. Never even crossed my mind to use breadcrumbs or cornmeal. Thanks.
