my biggest shovel was only 17 lbs and was on the bottom with dead bait...iv tried using blue gills goldfish carp etc. with a float. never very much luck any help plz?

i like to use yellow bellies try that they hurt like hell if they poke you but put that on your hook and clip the horns off and they love em try it and tell me how that goes
