I fished Cedar yesterday (5/24). Didn't get a bite entire time I was there. Was using live bluegill, cut shad, and leeches. Fished the "big point." This is my second time in a week getting no bites/fish at this lake. I like the lake/people at Cedar but it's just too far for me to drive to get skunked. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. if you were at least 10 to 13 feet deep anywhere around the buoys you should have done something. tell ya what next time you go up there try to use some goldys and izzys, try poppin them every 15 to 20 mins to keep them movin good. wish you luck and dont give up man it sounds like its your time for a monster. and if you think 2 times a week is a waste just go once but real fisherman dont stop try. i learned that i would never catch nothing by stop goin to a lake i never did any good at.

I agree with you about never giving up. However, I was just saying that its a very long drive for me and with gas prices the way they are it's just really dissapointing to drive up there and fish and not get so much as a nibble. I know that you never "know till you go." I will fish this lake again for sure, just unsure as to when. Thanks for the pointers.

FISH CEDAR 5/ 25 DIDN'T CATCH NOTHING BUT SEEN FISH CAUGHT. THERE WAS SOME BIG
BLUE'S ROLLING THIS MORNING. BUT I'M LEARNING THE LAKE, THANK'S TO ALSEPT1 AND
KENNEDY1. JUST MET THEM TODAY SOME SUPER NICE GUY'S. STILL HAD FUN CAN'T WAIT

Went to Cedar yesterday 5/25. got there around 3:45 and waited till 8:15 to start fishing. Waited for THE spot to open up. First hour i caught 4 fish nothin big. Then keep catching fish about every hour after that. So caught 7 total and missed 4. Biggest was 28 something i forget. They where hitting on Largemouth and Crappie pretty good live or cut.
Also got the chance to meet two of the members Shovelfreak513, and Bobberdown613. Two good guys hope to see you back up there sometime.

I too was at Cedar yesterday.Caught total of three.!*lbs.-20lbs. and foul hooked a 47lbs shovel.They are hitting!! Nice to have met bobberdown!!

nice meeting you to alsept.... i was at cedar for 24hrs.... got one during the day 5-25-07 it weighed 19. then as the sun started set it was on.... caught 15 fish that night.. all between 22-39.8.. caught everyone on shad and shad heads about 10-12 foot deep. was leading the tournamnet until it got beat out with a 50lb buffalo carp?? atleast thats wat eveyone thinks it is.. alsept you should go and check the picture out... it looks like a bluecat but it had a carp head and no wiskers? then i was in second then that later got beat out with a 41 lb shovel.but yea overall it was a good day well i guess i should say NIGHT!!!!

Nice man. Yeah i called to see what was caught. Will be heading back up there tomorrow with my dad to fish. Going to try my new rod out.

went yesterday (saturday evening - not much fish action - water is low - not sure why but the areators(?) were not on - saw several channel catfish at the bank sucking air - i think the oxygen level is down - slows the bite - we need rain - hope other folks did better than me.

What??? The aerators were on today. Are you sure they were off at the main part of the lake. Fish were hiting good today tons of fish being caught. It just wasnt me catching them. Was able to catch 3 shovels the biggest was about 18#s

goin to caedar today (memorial day) first time goin this year i got some shad and some gills so hopefully ill do something out there.....reading on here i think i got some pointers on where to fish so ill let ya guys no...

nice fish, im going to have to try and get out to cedar here soon. Maybe at the end of this wk. I got a 4 day wk.end this wk. might get my dad out of the house and go if we dont go 4 wheelin over around hillsboro..
