Thursday will be my first time out this year. I set some traps today and am hoping to get some nice Chubs and shiners. I also plan on taking some blue gill and war mouth. Tomorow morning i am going to ceaser creek dam to try and get some shad, the water stays pretty warm where the dam let's out so i am hoping to have some luck with that. Just wanted to say high to everyone and get out some of my excitement. I am also up for suggestions as am not to sure how the fish are acting this early in the year. Any baits i am missing that i ought to try. I am also undecided on which lake to go to, Cedar or Cozy dale. Peace Elijah

I tried straqberry chicken once last year when it was cold and could not get anything other than nibbles. Maybe i will try it though.

Fish are going to be sluggish so i would try a lot of cut bait. Like shad or skip jack. Also you may want to call to see if the lakes are thawed out yet.

catfishchad when its cold like this. or a good rainy front is comeing in thats when those big lazy blues turn on. especially on some skip jack. a good rainy front or a good cold day and lots of skip equals really good fishing in my book
