hey greg do you think the blues are still biting bcause im headed up there tommarow and i wanted to know if i could bag a few more before it gets too cold for them

Josh and I was there yesterday as well........we have caught 1 fish in the last 2 weeks...........hell I think we have only had 2 or 3 downs in that 2 week time period. I think the fish may be done for the year........looking forward to spring

yeah they have slowed down quit a bit but you have to think of it this way "there has to be at least one fish that is hungry" yah know but yes i agree cant wait for spring!

Normally in late fall, I have my best luck with shad heads, but they won't touch them this year. Saturday I fished for 3 hours and caught 2 shovels and 3 blues on shad fillets. They wouldn't touch heads, but tore up the fillets.

The lake startes to turn on in April but gets really good in May.

windmill is a good lake not a lot of big fish but every time i go i catch at least 1 fish.
