I was thinking about a trout board today too.
I really don't know a thing when it comes to catching trout so if anyone has some tips i would love to hear them. Plan on catching some for bait so when spring comes and they are almost all gone i will have a meal for one of the monsters in the lake.

I went Trout fishing up a Cedar on Sunday the 13th of January. I was able to catch my limit in the 11 hours i fished. They are hitting minnows wax worms and chartreuse powerbait. If the weather warms up again i think i will hit it again.

The lake near my house is putting in 1500 pounds today. The good thing is that these fish weigh maybe 1/2 pounds. Which means small live blue bait ,or some cut bait.

Cedar opens at 7am on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I have been trout fishing there once and caught one Lil one. Some guys across the lake caught two nice shovels. I think that they where in the 40's.

i dont see how they can stop you from fishing for cats if there open and you pay for a ticket you should be able to fish for what ever you want. dont get me wrong i am against snagging, snagging is the reason alot of the fish die at paylakes during the winter.but i dont see how they can stay open and say u cant fish for what ever you want to fish for r they going to check to see what kind of bait your using. this is the first time ive ever heard of a lake doing this.

They can't check your bait, but how many people do you know fish for trout with rods that are 10,11,12 feet?
