cut shad or shrimp tipped with a night crawler works good for me.
bluegill heads work great sometimes to have had times that thats all i can get them to hit especially the bigger ones.

i always use chicken livers or crawlers never tried anything else really besides dip bait and probably wont!

I have caught a lot of fish this year on chicken breast , soaked in Anise extract topped with strawberry koolaid , then put a leech on the bottom, also had good luck with Premo blood dip bait...

lil' one inch chunks of chicken breast, leeches, crawlers, small chubs, chub heads, shiner heads, raw shrimp, cut rainbow trout, cut shad, hamburger n' wheaties, catalpa worms when in season are LEATHAL, live and dead bass minnows

we caught aroubd 60 channels this week at my moms lake , all on liver , we had 3 tubs 2 nights ago andit only lasted 3 hours , we went thru 6 tubs in a night

i use liver then at the end of the hook i put a night crawler it keeps liver on the hook and gets some channels
