get em fresh, I never have luck on frozen bait(except trout). I've caught some decent flatheads on these. They are getting harder and harder to find every year. If you know where a Catalpa/Catawba tree is lemme know, but Do Not tell anyone else. Just kidding.

I'm not an expert but I think I started seeing them around the end of may i think. Maybe a little later. The bait barn in indy has them all season. i'm not sure on how they keep them alive. Also I forgot to mention that when you fish with these, make sure you use a stick to turn them insde out. Or hook em and cut either the head or the tail off so green juice they have inside them squirts out.

YOU DON'T HAVE TO TAKE A STICK TO TURN THEM IN SIDE OUT. PULL OFF THERE HEAD TAKE YOUR HOOK AT THE TAILEND THER IS A LITTLE HARD SPOT THERE IF YOU FIND THAT THEY WILL TURN INSIDE OUT RIGHT ON TO YOUR HOOK.
