i know usin them is against the law but they're hands down the best shovelhead bait.in my experiences. ill have to disagree on crappie yet they are a good bait. but a baby carp. is much more producing. if you ever find a place to get them. use em you wont regret it. i have a pond i can get them from. oh and also on the crappie thing. they cant be caught with a cast net or trap you actually have to catch them.

well you still have to catch them at the lake you are going to use them for bait. You are not aloud to transport them to a different body of water.

i think live shad is still the king of all paylake baits, with bass being a close second.

Big cat, ill second that. But i would add a leach to a shad head, that is the best.
