keep the water moving at all times. In something round (tank) shad will nose int a cornor and drowned, they need to beable to swim in something round, i use a little bit of coffee creamer in my water to help with the sock. Or i also go to wal-mart and get tablets call start right. i use 4 in my tank when i go fishing it take out the clorine and such and stables the water.

The key is to have a round tank. As for the aerator I just use a Power Bubbler made by Marine Metal. I will also throw in some bait saver/shad saver to keep them healthy. If you notice the water getting foamy put a pinch of non-dairy creamer in the water, it will clear it right up. Also don't over fill your tank with shad.

Is it true that you have to use a round tank to keep shad alive? And if so why.
