another plus is to enforce your rules what ever they will be is for the lake owner to decide but enforce them on everyone the same. i hate to go to lakes where you got a couple of people that r good friends with the owner and do what ever they want.when everyone else has to abide by the lake rules. thats just my two cents. i hope your lake takes off and as long as you put fish in i am sure you will stay packed i know i will be there. may your lines stay wet and your fish be monters see ya later.

dont have 30 dollar tickets like cozy Good point. Although Cozy is competitive with their normal ticket price, a man can quickly go to the poor house if he wants to enter a jackpot. They have WAY too many jackpots. I can't remember the exact number, but a full ticket (all jackpots and a third pole) is over $30. Keep the jackpots simple so your fishermen aren't kicking themselves in the butt because they entered the 50-55, 55-60, 60-65, 65-70, and 70+, but didnt enter the 45-50 and caught a 48. Cozy jackpots are out of control. I like a 40-50 and a 50+, then maybe a big fish of the week, all you need. Slot jackpots are odd too, and I think Cozy charges $2.50 or $3.00 for that particular pot.

Hey bigcat no I didnt buy windmill, looked at it but was asking way way too much for that lake I built my own last fall. Hey I really apreciate the responses all great ideas and all will be considered I consider this lake yours and only mine to keep it fair, clean and WELL stocked. But I refuse to open untill it is the best lake in a fifty mile radius. Everyone associated with this site will receive discounts I hope to get Cincy to sponsor the grand opening tourny. All jackpots and tourny fees will be 100% payback this money is yours and not mine and more important than that it will be fair./

i like willards too. a ticket is $15 and a dollar out of every ticket goes in the 50+ jar. if you hit it you get half that way there is always money in it. then you could run the biggest blue of the week and the biggest shovelhead of the week for a buck a piece. run a biggest of the year for a buck, every ticket you have to re-enter, that would be a big jackpot, especially if you stay busy. you could even pay bounty only on fish over 20 or 25lbs, that way when you do catch a decent fish at least you would get a little something. just my ideas if i had a lake. thanks CATMAN

I don't care how good a lake is, none of'em is worth that much.
It sounds like your lake would be a great place to try. It's not to often that owners listen to patrons. It also sounds like you have all the advice you could ever want, lol. Good luck with the venture. I hope it takes off.
