Can anyone tell me where I can find a good location for skip? I love using it for bait but just cant find it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I heard that you can catch skip jack out of the Ohio river with Lil jigs. I don't really know because i have never tried it.

Combining threads GooD Afternoon fellow cat hunters, I am in need of a good spot to catch skip jack. I don't know of anywhere to catch them. I can throw a net, jig or sabiki for them. Any help would be greatly apprecaited. Thanks, Big Smooth FISH ON!

I've caught them at Meldahl Dam on 1/8 ounce jigs. I tie about 3 jigs to my line. I've never tried the sabiki jigs, but you can get them at Bass Pro. The hot water discharge in Aberdeen is supposed to be a good spot, but I have never tried it.

never even seen one...dont even know what they look like lol but i hear ppl talking about them all the time i thought it was a saltwater fish lol

They are basically a shad that comes out of a river.

went out today and bought some of those sabiki Jigs. Going to try them out down at the Ohio here soon. Does anyone have any tips for these thing?

WHAT'S UP SUREFOOT I'M KNEW ON CINCYPAYLAKES AND I NEED SOME HELP. I'M HEADING DOWN TO BELPRE MAY 9 I'M GOING TO MEDAL DAM TO TRY TO CATCH SOME SKIPJACK. WHERE DO I FISH AND WHAT TYPE OF JIG SHOULD I USE.
