just like a few others members mentioned use bread or tunes. also a cheap can of cat food or dog food with holes punched in it is very effective as well. 15 -30 mins is a lil to fast for my method. you tend to get more minnows that way than chubs. me personally i would let it sit all day and night. if its close to you you can check it periodically and move if needed. hope this helps

what kind of trap do you have? I have about two dozen chubs in my bait tank rite now. I like to use them on a dead line.

A regular minnow trap with the extended basket add to it.

I've caught a snake before in my selfmade minnow trap before. It got in there and was eating my minnows I've had the same problem, i took care of them with a torch though!

I showed a few people a GREAT chub creek, and for $20, you could learn too! lol j/k
I have caught up to 9 4"-8" on one worm there, they would robably even bite a bare hook, haven't tried my minnow trap there though

i had this great spot, used hook and pole, use to burn em all up, but i havnt fished there in quite a while, we had a lot of ran and the chubs left... but yea, i tried using trap, and by law, the hole is only suppose to be 1 inch wide, i used bread, and had some luck with crumbled up crackers, not too small
