If you can find them from about 4-6inchs they are the best.Ive caught a few on one that size you had but not to many, they are really great bait.. Try them that size (4-6 inchs) and see how you do with them that size..

alsept, you can find yellow bellies at AJ Jolly in Ky. Iwas fishing for them last night and caught 12 in about an hour. The bite was slow. Anywhere on this lake is good for yellows. The average size is about 4 - 6 inchs, but last night I did get one about 8 inchs. He will be on the bottom tonight at Catman Blues. I thought about heading to Hickory, but I don't know how crowded the lake would be on a rainy Thursday night.

Find you a wetlands area that has small pools of water that hasn't dried up during the hot season and you can net them, got a nice place near Deer Creek state park.

I went out today and netted about two hundred got em the bait shop here at Big Reds I wont sell alive to fish my lake but will sell em for take out. If you fish here I kill em first. They are worse than shad in a paylake they will root out the dam of a lake and drain it

Bad thing about them, but man they are hot bait! Water birds can carry their eggs on their feet and if they dip in the lake it won't take long to over run a lake.
