are sheephead from the river good bait in a pay lake? dead or alive?

i used them one time at Cats2 and caught 3 fish on it (dead/cut) i caught them at grand lake st. marries in celina fishing for crappies.. never tried them live but im sure they would be..

we catch them with the throw net at the river....my buddy said they are sheephead. is a freshwater drum the same thing?

yes also called grunts @ south bass inland you can eat them but walleyes are better
