be carefull feeding them if you keep them long. need to change water more if you feed them. if you can go to aquatic water garden placeand get some water plant. fish will eat on it and helps with oxygen.

yes,feed your bait if have them for more than a week.pond goldfish food,bread wax worms,broken up nightcrawlers.just make sure to keep your water changed and theyll be fine.ive bait in my tank since last october still alive and kickin strong

i feed mine fish food too, and i'll go down 2 a creek and seine a bunch of nymphs and tiny minnows for em' , buy yeah once you start feedin' them they crap like crazy and make tons of toxins in the water, gets dirty fast, i hate changin my water, need a good pond filtration unit

i've kept mine alive for over 2 weeks before I used them and gave the rest away, I fed them a little bit of bread and changed the water at least every 2 days and just used water straight from my hose, the most I had during that period was bout 2 dozen blue gill and I just got a small cooler with a bubbler from petsmart for a bait tank

i used to feed my bait trying to keep them alive for weeks but know i try to only keep them in there for about a day before i use them i think they lose there creek smell keeping them in a tank . the sooner i use them straight out of their natural envir. the better . anyone else agree?

I haven't noticed a difference between keeping them for awhile or straight from the natural environment. They go into my bait tank thats filled with water and Bait Saver. I only feed my bait if I have them for more than 2 weeks. They will last a good week- week and a half with no food.
