This might sound silly, but one of the best things you can have at a lake is a turkey blind. They fit right over you and your chair, and they keep the rain off of you. I also keep a propane heater around for those cold nights. This is the right time of the year to buy one, while all of the hunting gear is marked down. Hey thats not a bad idea, but you should try Bass pros Gore-Tex it is the best. I got it last year and used it in 80 degree weather and it worked great.

not a bad deal at all. if they dont have shelters bu place that have them i take a tarp and place around it and use a propane heater as well.
