WOW.........those are some big hooks !
I use a 2/0 twist shank by owner, lazer sharp. I almost never miss a fish or have one come off and if/when that happens I blame myself for not waiting another secound or two.
You guys useing those big hooks, how many times have your floats gone down and then pop back up just as fast as it went down ?

Well..........I missed a few fish and had couple come off my last visit to Hickory Grove so I am going to try some new hooks. I just got back from Castaway lake and I picked up some 4/0 Owner all purpose bait hooks(model # 5111-141) and also picked up some 3/0 Gama bait holders.
We will see how they perform ?

I tried some of the Owner 4/0 triangle point hooks and I love them. They are sharper than the gama's, BUT don't stay sharp as long as the gama's. I think you'll like the Owners, though.
