Has anyone tied out the new Emcast rods by Daiwa? The stop making the Sealine models and stated to make these. Look pretty nice. Don't know about the handle on it though. Going to have to check it out.

Wild looking handle. Looks like a pool stick or something.

I like the big handles, I have some big meat hooks. Grabbing something that small would be awkward. I have some nice eagle claw rods that have thick cork handles.

We have one of these and we have caught some fish on them. The handles are very nice, the black diamond rubber grip is usually found on higher priced rods. The Sea Striker Beach Runner rods are 10'6" and look like the Daiwa Sealine rods that were discontinued. I have one of the Sea Striker rods with my Shimano Calcutta on it and I love it. I will i am considering this or a St. Croix Triumph found here www.castawaylakes.com/TriumphSurf.htmlI currently have eagle claw rods and while they are good, i just want soemthing a little better. I want something that cast's easier and that i can feel the bottom better with. I like the price on the daiwa, but i love st. croix rods and i am sucker for a nice cork handle. What other rods are you considering? Peace Elijah

The daiwa is the only one i am considering right now. Have see the St.Criox rods, look a little too skinny for me. But yeah the handle is awesome.
