;D last night we went to alum creek lake and had a great trip. my new planer bobber got the biggest fish of the night. WE have a new crew member who caught her first catfish then- What a super trip , with only 3 hours to fish I made the choice to go to alum creek lake and hit the hogback area again. WE made a great catch for a new crew member. It was her first catfishing trip so she got her first catfish then came a nicer fish that became her biggest fish of her life. My cool planer bobber only scored one fish but wow it was the biggest fish of the trip. Lightning started to lance the sky and our captain turned the boat towards the high side of the cliff wall to keep our profile low We did not want to be in the middle of the lake and be the only target for a strike. as we crossed the old river channel it happend the planer rod bowed and the trolling motor strained to move against the wind and a big fish . Then the other rod went down.
