I'll tell you what,....... I tried the St. Croix AC300A bait cast reel this year and I think my rockets will be up for sale come spring. I want 2 more of those bad boys ! I also tried a St. Croix premier sure 10' 6". I love the pole just not crazy about the way it breaks down..........broken down the top is 6' 6" and every eyelet is on the top piece

well I know you boys are probably gonna laugh but I have always fished spinning gear. ten foot eagle claw rods and really trust Quantam reels I also have a few ten foot nite sticks they work well for me.I usually match them up with Okuma bait feeders. in my opinion there is no wrong way to fish as long as you enjoy yourself and dont annoy the rest of the lake in the process.

i agree, dawest, as long as you do what you like doing and not bothering others then it dont matter what kind of gear you use. Some like that real exsp.. gear but like my self i just cant see paying $100-$200 or more for one rod when a $20-$40 rod will do the same thing, it dont matter what you are useing the fish aren't going to bite any better if you are usieng a enexspe.. rod or a exspe.. one, they are will catch fish.. I'll stick with my $23 beef stick's and my $60 corsairs and or 6500 c3's.. and few other's..
