I USE BREAD AND DOG FOOD IN TRAPS.WHAT I DO IS I TAKE A WAX WORM AND BOBBER AND FIND THE CREEK CHUB,AFTER THAT,I SIT MY TRAPS IN ,AND I GET ALOT OF CHUBS THAT WAY.I HOPE THIS HELPS YOU OUT.GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I use a mix that you can buy from bait shops. Its like $4 for a bag. When you put it in the trap, half of it sinks, and half of it floats, which I like. I just checked my trap, had about 40-50 chubs in it and 6 bluegill. Only problem is lots of little chubs, good for bass and crappie fishing. Only about 5 usable chubs for big cats about 6 inchers.
