The new Tica Dolphin UGSA rods are awesome. I would choose this over most rods on the market. They are lighter then the emcast and have better action. They are blue and made from TC3 Graphite construction. GIVE ME SOME TYPE OF GRADE ON A TICA SURF ROD

whats the price like on those i like emcast because there not that high dollar and i can afford them i cant see spending 300 dollars on one rod thats just my opion because i can catch big fish on a 20 dollar king cat supreme.

You can feel every little tap on a graphite rod. that hog may just barely tap it, hold it for a second and then spit it out. well...........me and my graphite rod will hit that fish as where that $20 rod you will not feel him. the more expensive rods do have advantages and they make great trolling rods, very very light in weight.

like any sport, if you are going to fish for big cats a lot, then buy the best equipment your budget permits....if you will only fish for big cats once in a while, don't waste your money on top shelf stuff.......graphite is the best for light weight and sensitivity.
