I've never fished this lake, but I also know guys that swear by it. Not sure on the bounty situation either. I've driven by it at night, and the place gets packed like Cozy Dale. If I drive that far out, I'm more inclined to go to White Oak Valley, because I am pretty familiar with it. I'm going to check this lake out soon, but I've been saying that for years.

i stopped in one time ( my cousin and i) but we didnt fish just was checking out the lake. at the time they was still paying bounty but that was a few years ago. the lake didnt look to bad i belive there was 2 of them. i remember seeing powerlines going overtop one of the lakes i cant remember if there are powerlines over both or not but i have had a few people tell me in the past there has been alot of guy getting hung up in the powerlines trying to cast.

i think all paylakes have pretty much quit paying bounty. all the ones i fish have primarly stopped. now i know that sportsman paradise still pays. and if it doesnt meet bounty requirments, he usually gives a nice catfish that u can pin on a hat or t-shirt to place it back.

I think bounty's are stupid for one what "real" fisherman wants to keep a huge fathead or blue...throw them back thats my moto...i just dont see any need to keep a huge fish when the little ones taste better....that is what makes me soo mad when i go down the SC to Santee ppl keeping 50-60-70lb flatheads when there are plenty of 4-5lb channels to be caught lol IMO

Yes as of last year they still paid bounty. 10-19 lbs 5.00 20-29 10.00 30-39 15.00 40 and above 20.00. They have biggest fish of the week and a 50lb jar. Its a real good place to fish. Early part of year cut bait then mid may live bait. the bigger the better

willards only pays bounty on shovels not blues. he has alot more blues in that lake. willards is a great tournament lake i fish all the tournaments there and it always takes something in the 20's just to get third every hour.but there is alot of dinks one outing last year caught 52 fish in 10 hours and none where over 15 pounds.
