Me and a buddie of mine went up and fished the warm water discharge in Aberdeen today. We where able to catch some white bass and two large mouth. It is so cool out there because at the discharge you can fish all temps from 48-80+ while the rest of the river is about 48 degrees.

Greg,
Did you guys fish from a boat or the bank and if you fished from a boat did you notice any places to fish from the bank and still be able to get into that warm water ?
It's nice to know that the rest of the river is 48 degrees

We fished from a boat. But yeah there is a couple of places you can fish from the bank. There was a guy fishing about 200 yards down from the discharge and the water there was still 70 degrees.

where at was the discharge cause we fish two of them on the ohio by tanners creek and a little up from it by the power plant good skipjack holes

i fished off the bank about twenty years ago in January we caught a bunch of small shovels I have seen some huge cats but the best fishing is from a boat beacause the water is too hot near the shore the water is so hot it literally boils your live bait if you can get right on the edge of the cold water the fish hang out there its kind of risky leaving your vehicle in the lot the power co. made for the fishermen my brotherinlaws truck was broken in 20 yrs ago

i heard from alot of people that the discharge in aberdeen was a good spot for catfishing my buddy said that his dad or uncle went and caught alot of nice shovels out of there
