along way to drive for leeches. wont be long and the bait shops will start to have them. and you can go to the wholesale bait in Hamilton and get them by the lb.

maybe its a little far to drive, about 45 minutes from eastgate, just make the trip worth while. if someone wants them by the lb, we will sell them that way also. wholesail bait doesn't have them yet, i checked yesterday. if someone does want them by the lb, it may be best to call first to make sure we have that many. we make our orders every tuesday, so if someone wants them, we can have them by the weekend.

depending on the cost of shipping, they should be about 38 a pound for water or the mud (horse) leeches. usually about 15 dozen in a lb.

as Randy noted Vadosbait is very reptuable...it is where the folks at "In-Fishermen" fame buy their bait......my opinion ribbon leeches are the best bait to buy in bulk(pound) as they require little care...just water - no feeding - but it is my understanding (from what I have read??) as the summer approaches July / August leeches spawn and then they die after spawning....that is why the supply shrinks throughout the summer.....so be careful on how many you have as you could end up with a lot of dead leeches.

I keep them in the fridge and change the water every day or every other day pending on how many are in the container.
I buy natural spring water (gallon) from the dollar store, keep it in the fridge with the leeches so its the same temp. as the water the leeches are in for your water changes........basically they need rinsed off on a regular basis.
Good luck
