for leader material ? I'm not talking about the 18lbs test, of course it would be higher.

FWIW, a couple guys I fish with use this stuff religiously in 30# I think. I've used it to make a leader once, but I still stick with the HiSeas FCL.

Never tried Randy, I have always been a 50 pound big game man. Me to Smooth, but 50lb Big Game makes it hard on me with my 2/0 tried it. didn't like it. Why not ? LOOKS LIKE ROPE TO ME,AND ALSO IF YA HANG UP ON SOMETHING YOUR DEFF LOOSING YOUR BOBBER AND EVERYTHING. Already thought of that, but its a pay lake and you can get your float back if that was to happen, plus if you fish at a lake you know well you can stay close to the structure but not in it. yea i agree it does look like rope doesnt look good for the fish As far as being good for the fish I don't see the difference between this and say 50lb mono leader {nothing we do is good for the fish}. the acid in the fish's stomach will dissolve both......... Thanks for the feedback guys ........anyone else ?

that line will decay faster than mono too, i use to use cortland Musky Master black braid for leaders , i think its dacron i can't remember in 36lb test, i didn't mind it but it seems like it frays easier, after you have it on a while and look closely at it you'll see little frays of material, i still have some 63lb musky master for leaders in heavy cover in the river, you have have to use big hooks because that stuff is like rope, but never used that particular brand

i use to double my leaders and all that fun stuff using mono and double the 25lb test but have fun doing that with 2/0-3/0 hooks, i gonna use power pro for my leaders this year , i don't really care what people think , if i thought those fish were gonna swim back and live a natural life and spawn i probably wouldn't use it but knowing majority of those fish aren't going to make doesn't really hurt my feelings, but tickets say "NO STAINLESS HOOKS" also and everyone is using gamakatsus, owners, and list goes on, so people can combat the leaders ,and i'll contest all your hooks
