JROB DO YOU HAVE ANY ROOM OUTSIDE FOR A 50 GAL PLASTIC BARREL. IF YOU DO I CAN GET YOU ONE OR MAYBE TRY ONE OF THOSE RUBBER MAID TUBE'S THEY SELL AT WAL-MARTS. I'VE BEEN USING ONE FOR YEARS IT'S GREAT.JUST REMEBER THE KEY TO KEEPING YOUR BAIT ALIVE IS FREASH WATER YOU HAVE TO CHANGE THAT WATER ABOUT EVERY OTHER DAY DEPENDING ON HOW MUCH BAIT YOU HAVE...

i have a 30 gallon aquarium in my basement i have two penquin filters on it with six air stones it works great i can keep a couple hundred pieces of bait alive for weeks i also have a divider in it to separate my mallots and chubs from my bluegills. the bluegills will kill your mallots and chubs.calhoun has seen it ,it works great.

i also have a 35 gallon and 50 gallon drum in my garage to keep shad usally use the 35 to transport and the 50 to hold them in. in the 50 i can keep about 40 to 50 of them alive for a week to 10 days. we found the secert to keeping shad alive last year at santee cooper here it is trust me it works great use water softener salt the pellets for 50 gallon use one large cup full.to keep the foam down use a couple tablespoons of coffee creamer. besides that just keep refreshing the water and keep the temp cool. i just put plugg in airraters on them in the garage with 4 air stones.hope this helps everybody this spring the key to good fishing is good bait.

KeepAlive are some of the best portable livewells available for shad or any other bait. Use a 14 gallon tank that is oval and they come comlplete with pumps

if you can find someone to get you the round blue drums thats what i have.i think all i have in shad tanks is about $45. $40 for the airrater and stones another $5 were i put a spicket at the bottom of the drums and used marine goop to seal it.makes it real easy to refresh the water just turn spicket drain about half way and refill. iuse to be able to get the 35 50 gallon drums from work but they quit using them.alot of paper plants use them if you know someone that works in paper asked them.
