I HEARD THAT. I STILL HAVE 2 OLD FREEZER AT MY MOM AND DADS AND I HEAR ABOUT IT EVERYTIME I GO THERE. I WILL TRY AND GO GET SOME BARRELS THIS WEEK-END AND LET YOU GUYS KNOW IF I GET SOME.....

the 50 gallon barrels work great until the temp begins to rise then ur water heats up entirely to fast and most of the time the bait will die . I found that if you keep the water circulating and add a bubbler they tend to live a little longer

Yeah he is right about that. The water sure does heat up quite fast. I either try and park in the shade or keep adding new water to it from the lake.

get u a sheet of styrophome from home depot, and duck tape,an wrap it round ur tank.helps a lot on those hot days.

I ALSO KEEP MINE IN THE GARAGE AND KEEP MY EMPTY MILK JUGS FILL THEM WITH WATER AND FREEZE EM SO I CAN ADD TO IT IF IT GET'S TO HOT. BUT IF YOU KEEP THE WATER MOVING YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE TO MUCH PROBLEM WITH YOUR BAIT DIEING.

If you want to spend a little money, pick up a Igloo 10 Gal water cooler. They work great. I paid $30 for the one I use. Easy to change the water with the spout and the water stays cool even in the hottest month's.

sams club has 150 quart rubbermaid coolers for $ 59.99 i bought to use for all my other bait, they are huge you could fit a body in it LOL! where going to use it when we fish the river tournies as our live well, should be able to hold at least three or four 30's
