Hey my fisherman brothers. Ive recently been keeping my live bait. And i would really like to know what a good bait tank/storage bin or cooler is a good mobile live well for keeping bait alive for about 1-3 weeks between fishing trips. I usualy have bluegill, crappie, largemouth, chubs, and yellow bellies. any help for building home made bait tanks would be greatly appreciated.
thanx for any help. Bobby

the portable units are for sale my friend priced them and I cant remember just how much as for the other biat tanks for the house you are welcome to come and look at them when I get going again this spring. I wouldnt sell them but you can use them for an idea on how to build your own. You should be able to build your own for lees than 200.00 I can keep bait alive for months with this system all of my tanks are disassembled for the winter

Not to get off the subject of "portable" bait tank, but i know quite a few guys that use old Chest deep freezers in their garages to keep baitfish alive year round. they maintain a good temp in the summer just by adjusting the thermostat a lil. simply drill a few holes in the lid for your air hoses and filters and stick it in the corner.... you can find decent used ones for 50-100$ on craigslist or any other ads....
im lookin to build one myself this summer if i come across a good deal on 1.... hope this helps

where do you get mullets I said something to a guy the other day at a bait store in troy and he said that you can't get them anywhere around here if you try to get them yourself they come from the east coast

the mullet and the white sucker are the same fish.. We get ours at the germantown dam, (creeks) with fast moveing rapp.. I looked the mullet up on here (comp) and it said that the white sucker/mullet is the same fish...
