Black Widow line Randy said I use those little rubber bobber stops and they don't seem to grab the line very well.. gee this is the line I'm using. maybe it is the line..I am using the same little bobber stops from Pro bass as ever one is.... all my reels have a copolymer monofilament line..thats the same stuff Black Widow line is made with.. BIG GAME line is cheep in my book but maybe it just works better.. but it is just a monofilament line... ANYONE USE STRING BOBBER STOPS??? ???DO THEY WORK BETTER AT ALL???

BOBBER STOPS MOVING UP THE LINE!!! ANYONE USE STRING BOBBER STOPS??? DO THEY WORK OR WORK BETTER AT ALL??? COULD IT BE THE copolymer monofilament line I AM USING??? at wind mill and ez i just put a tooth pick in the line hole on the float..that work good but it is hard to cast... my bobber stop has been a real pain,,i even tried 2 stops and it still moved up the line..maybe the eyes on my cheep rod???it didn't seam to move much if I didn't get it in the eye lets.. theres got to be something i can do to fix the stop.. think I will change all my reels to Big Game line. I did not want to use that line..

thats what i use as well , i buy them by the 500 fram a good friend of mine, same place i get my rods from.. And as far as the line goes (mark) big game is one of the best big fish line on the market.. If you watch the fishing show as well when they are fishing for big fish whatever the fish is they are more then likely useing big game.. I dont have any problems with the stops, useing big game.. I got mine on e-bay 78,000 yrds of 20lbs for 38 bucks + shipping.. not bad..

Black Widow line Randy said I use those little rubber bobber stops and they don't seem to grab the line very well.. I did not like that Black Widow line on the reels. I have switched back to Big Game and only use Black Widow for a leader and this year I'm changing all that to Sufix Seige on the reels and a fluorocarbon leader. Hopefully the stops grab the Sufix. Mark...........try a different line on 1 reel until you find something that works. it sounds like it may be the line your using because they grip the Big Game nicely.

Mark,
I was thinking.......Do you use a bead in between the float and the float stop ? If you do then your bead may be hanging up in your eyelets causing the stop to slip on a cast.

I usually use an extra large bead inbetween my stops and my straw one big enough so that it doesnt feed through the lead eye havent had any problems since.

yeah i use a small one (bead) on the top then put a bigger one under it for the same reason, i dont have any problems with the stop slideing up or down.. As far as the line at wal-mart, thats where i bought mine at before i found the line i got on e-bay. I think tehres like 750 yrds. on a 20lb spool, big game.. its the same as anyother big game..
