i tried a small beads[4mm] and then a big 1[8mm]the small bead would stick on the line and go in to the eyelets...back lash city if you didn't see it and it hit the bobber stop be for it got out of the eyelets. last year all I used was 8" floats with 2oz/1.5oz wt under them.with bass pro stops and rubber bands.the rubber bands would come off.seem like the heat got to them.thats when I tried the stops from b.p.they did stay on the line but moved like a foot or more up the line.on almost each cast.i could not get the red stops on the line.the yellow stops would go on the line. I'm going to try a 12" float with wt on it.also the string bobber stops and a Texas rig.20#BIG GAME line? on 1 reel.30#is like wire too stiff?may be it is the bass fisherman in me. ALL THIS IS ABOUT MAY 4. I NEVER PUT $30 IN ANY tournament BE FOR.I WOULD LIKE TO GET A FISH OUT OF CAST AWAY..I SAW SOME TOURNAMENTS COST $100 OMG THATS TO MUCH FOR ME.. ;Dthe bottom line is getting my bobber stop to work will get me more fish in 08. ;D sure would be nice to get a bigger fish then the 22# 1 got at EZ.that was my all time biggest catfish.. ;D

arent there different colors for different size line the package dosent tell you anything, but bass pro catalog says there are different sizes. I think I will order some of these from Cabela's.....They are shaped a bit different, longer... so may they hold better. Our bobber stops are ideal for use with slip bobbers. You simply run your line through the fine wire loop and pull the stop onto your line. Available: 2-4 lb. line/Natural, 4-8 lb. line/Red, 8-12 lb. line/Black, 12-16 lb. line/Blue. I guess I'll get the blue ones

Hey Mark try the large bead on right below the stop so that it doesnt feed through the lead eye thats how i get mine to work been using the rubber stops for about three years usuaslly get about 8 to 10 trips out of them but you are right they are hard to get onto the bigger test line try wetting thew line first hope this helps

;D..i spit on the stop to get it on. ;D.was thinking of using cooking oil on them but was afraid it would kill the stop.. ::)it blows me away something so hard to get on moves up my line all the time... I stop using the smaller bead all togetter..I did find some 4mm beads with a bigger hole in them..I'm not sure if you need 2 beads any way..may be I will put the smaller 1 back in...it didn't seem to matter if you use a small bead or not...

When I get my packs of bobber stops I transfer the stop onto a 2lb to 4lb line, much stronger than that little wire. this makes it much easier to get on the main line without breaking.

personally I like the weighted ones doesnt take nearly as much lead to stand them up
