I have heard talk of the shovels on the nest, most of the shovels at Reds are fairly new to the lake and they either are not nesting yet or maybe they won't untill next year. The blues and shovels are feeding surprisingly aggresive for this time of year. I am going to research this theory and post my findings Thanks RED

Well the weather is hot and so are the bites. Last night had several nice flatty's caught. The bait was fresh shrimp tipped off with a green nightcrawler. Never used the crawlers before, big fish seemed to like em though.

Glad to see some rain overnight didnt do much for the water level but brought the temps down, a good start for some excellent fall fishin' expecting a load of shovels next Fri night hopefully some hogs we will post some pics of the weekend and the stocking Fri see ya RED
