Lake Remington will be open May 1 with new owners who are committed to making it a great lake. We landed a 64lb bluecat and several 20 lbs shovelheads last night. You can have a fire and bluegill fishing is allowed. Yes the lake is big (8.5 acres) but its also nice and roomy. We are in the process of getting it cleaned up.

I am letting you keep up to 6 channel cats 8 lbs and under. I have been testing the lake for a week with some buddies, we (they, I should say) have caught a 64lb blue cat wed nite, last tues 3 20lb shovelheads and last night I left at 2am and a 35 pd shovelhead and 25 lb shovel head were caught. Big one are in there. Give us new owners time and the lake will be much cleaner. We are stocking channels next fri. and open on thur for our first day. Give the new owners a try and tell us what you like, we will listen!!! I will post the pics soon

I was there some 5-6 years ago and the place was a dump. Dirty all around the lake. How are things now ? I know the lake has been there some time but not sure of ownership. Bigcatman i assume you are the new owner ? has the potential to be a great lake though.

i used to fish this lake alot.i thought about trying to get it but i dont have the money ..i would suggest just clean the lake up and put all the rest of your time into getting ALOT of fish..this lake has good potential and there are some big ones in there but for it to be a top tier pay laake i would say put about 20 to 30 thousand pounds in therewith 8 acres sometimes you catch fish sometimes you dont.. Oh yea one more thing dont forget to treat the algae or this lake will be covered in it by the end of summer..good luck ill stop out and fish in the next couple of weeks
