If this is the lake remington off rt. 126 I have heard that fishing there is not very good. I have fished there one time and remember it was dirty - trashy. But that was some time ago - things may have changed.

if i were to go to butler again i would take a bunch of 1-5 inch warmouth and chubs and troll them along the banks you will catch them but they will be dinks most under ten and also try the heads of the bait that works good too...... also try fishing on the bottom caught alot that way..... fish by the dam by the pipe but about 20-50 feet down from the pipe along the wooden wall straight in from the airator....... remember troll the whole lake

i would say fish with gldfish 1-2 inch bluegill and night crawlers i never use big bluegill because most of the fish in the lake are small but i like catching a mess of shovels so butler is a good spot for 5-15 pounders you can catch them all day long on bluegill and goldfish with a nightcrawler and fishermanjeff is wright troll the whole lake the entire lake is a good spot to catch fish it is small so you can catch fish anywere the deep end is only about 10 foot or so and the shallow is only about 3 feet in summer i fish the shallows and tear them up on small chubs and bluegill and in spring and fall i fish the deep with leeches and nightcrawler
