Has anyone fished Catman Blues in Amelia? I fished it a few years ago, but the moss was really bad and it was impossible to get a fish through it. I drive past it every week and see a few people there.

I am not sure of the address, but this is by far the best lake I have fished. The owners are honest and the fish are plentyful. I fished all of last year for the first time and hit several fish in the high 40's a couple in the 50's and an uncountable number in the 30's. The lake is in excelllent condition with 3 bottom airiators and on top bubbler. I havent seen much moss on the lake.. The fish are all healthy. I will give you this advice, when and if you do fish there be sure to take good care of the fish you catch or you will hear about it. It cost 21.00 to fish with three poles and to be in the 50 and over and 60 and over. Your ticket price includes big fish of the week. Triva and John ( the owners ) take 2.50 from each ticket and that goes towards big fish of the week. 70% and 30%. I Busted the 50 jar on April 1st last year and then hit big fish of the week a couple times as well. In all total I won about 1300.00 last year at this lake.

About 8 acres,, they open up for night fishing on April 13th. And they don't mind if you use live shad. Shad heads are the bait. If you guys ever see a white escort and a big guy, its me. Stop over and say hi. John and Triva are some of the nicest people you can meet. When you pull into the lake, the first part is shallow about 4-7 average with some holes ( of course ) and then as you move back to the end of the lake it gets deeper about 12-17 average. They had a year end tourney last year, I watched a guy hit 13 fish over 40 pounds and a few at least 50 pounds. It was the best fishing display I have ever seen. Good luck and I will see you there.

There's a good chance I will see you there. If you have never fished the lake before try to fish the point on the far side.

Deffinitely a tough spot to get. To be honest I have seen big fish pulled out all over that lake. I like fishing the d**n and the shelter, mainly because it's hard to get my vehicle over to the other side. I will be there Saturday evening if anyone is going./

FISHING REPORT, I went Saturday night 8:30 PM - 8:30 AM, Not a bad trip I hit 5 fish 30 lbs, 25 lbs, 25lbs, 20lbs, and 12lbs. All shovels on live baits. I missed two runs and had two spit the hook, the one was a monster he keep pulling my drag out, I tried thumbing the spool but with 20 pound line there is only so much you can do, he ran me into my deadline and that is when he came off. Great night of fishing , it was a little fogy but still a great night. When I left that morning big fish of the week was 47.9, 46.5, 39.8
